Scorched Earth Brewing Co.- Made with locally-sourced ingredients and old-world brewing techniques, this rugged trendy brewery hopes to change the way you think about beer. Though they don't serve food, they offer seating and encourage patrons to bring their own! Located in Algonquin.

Crystal Lake Brewing Crystal Lake Brewing*- This local brewery offers a full-line of craft beers, including seasonal brews to enjoy. No food is sold within the tap-room, but again, guests are encouraged to bring food along for the trip! Located in Crystal Lake.

Chain O'Lakes Brewing Co.- McHenry County's first brewery, they offer a wide selection of large, seasonal, and small-batch beers. Through partnerships with local distilleries, they also offer special brews such as the annual Copper Oaked Scotch Ale, aged in local bourbon barrels. Food is welcome, and they provide an order-in menu. Located in McHenry.

Cary Ale House and Brewing Co.*- One of the only brew houses in the area to feature a full restaurant as well as delicious house-made craft brews. This unique brewery was built right into a local pub. (Scheduled to open January 2015). Located in Cary.

Village Vitner Winery and Brewery Village Vitner Winery and Brewery- With a slogan that boasts great beer and even better wine, this spot is one of a kind. They offer several craft brews including a cocoa vanilla stout and a vanilla cream ale. This eclectic setting also serves a complete dining menu with staples like pizza or ribs, cooked to perfection in their wood-fired oven. Located in Algonquin.
