Dreams do come true! Or, at least they do for Arlene Lynes, her knowledgable staff and all the dedicated customers of Read Between the Lynes. Located in the Woodstock Square, the bookstore was the dream of Arlene, who along with her husband, children and staff, opened this oasis 10 years ago.

Go where hip meets historic!

You'll find so much to fall in love with when you shop and dine in Crystal Lake's Historic Downtown District. Bring your family to one of the downtown's signature events such as the Festival of Lights Parade held the Friday after Thanksgiving each year. Plan a day of shopping with your friends, an evening of entertainment with your favorite someone or a morning stroll along the street with your family!

Lather with Luxury

Silver Prairie Natural Soap Company offers natural soaps, handmade one at a time in individual molds using fresh goat milk from their own herd of Swiss dairy goats, along with quality oils and butters. They also make luxurious lotions, botty butters, scrubs, bath bombs, and natural hair and skin products - all made with pride and love!

Art you can use

It all started with a friendly challenge in Rober Blue's freshman year. His roomate bet her could make pottery better than Blue could. "I touched clay, and it was all over." He loves to "doodle three-dimensionally in the air" with earth. He and his wife, Susan Blue Galloway, produce beautiful and practical pottery in their Blue Eagle Pottery studio just outside Woodstock. Some pieces at Blue Eagle Pottery are designed for home decor, but others are functional pieces, useful in the kitchen or on the table. This is art that is meant to be used. Blue says: "I always believed that the artistry within my pottery is the act of using the piece once it is finished."
