Poetry Night at Raue Center Café

Poetry Night at Raue Center Café Every 2nd Wednesday of the month! FREE ADMISSION!

Poetry Night is a late night excursion into the written word and an opportunity for anyone in the room to become a beatnik emboldened to sing songs or pen poems that delight and excite!

Come out to see big names in poetry and your local favorites read, rhyme, sing, speak and perform their work.

Raue Center hosts some of the best local talents around in its cafe space on Wednesdays & Thursdays from 5-7p. Admission is FREE!

Dedicated to realizing its mission of "Arts for All," Raue Center is proud to host local talent free of charge to the community. Artists are welcome to hone their skills.

Interested in performing your poetry? Sign up in the café the night of the event.

This evening's Poetry Night will be curated by Ken Balmes.

Ken Balmes was born in Waukegan, IL and lives in Island Lake, IL with his wife Virginia and a Siberian husky named Cass. He started writing poetry in his 60's.
