Living History Open House – ‘Just who is Samuel Walker?’ part of Look at Local History Month

Step back in time to the 1850s and join McHenry County Conservation District volunteers in period attire as they demonstrate seasonal activities and skills that were done in the 1850s. May's open house will feature Samuel Walker, a prominent and influential man who owned the house after the Civil War (late 1800s); a special presentation is scheduled for 2 p.m. Be sure to take advantage of a rare opportunity to tour the historic farmhouse, which is open to the public only a handful of times each year. Registration is not required.
